Your new learning friend, Baby Tad

Yu were so tired of yesterday's activities my little boy!... imagine skipping your usual 2-4 hr. afternoon nap altogether...but that was partly our fault too. Sorry little one, we dragged you to the airport with us to fetch Auntie Heny. And to Mama Abel's clinic where Auntie had a dental appointment. And of course, you were excited to play with your Ate Gabby. No wonder that this morning, you were teary-eyed when you looked for me the moment you woke up. I was already in my work area checkin' my emails. But you were all smiles when you saw your surprise!

We finally got your boxful of Leap Frog stuffs...but most of the books I have kept directly in the closet to avoid being lugged around by who else but you, my the little boy. You wont be needing them just yet. But I am already satisfied with the purchases I have made...which your Daddy obviously had to pay for... In terms of educational materials such as this one, we do not scrimp. It doesn't matter if we have to sacrifice a few shopping spree, dining out & dates... your Daddy Marlon & I always agree, when it comes to you, our Benedict... better more, than less. We make ways to be able to provide you the necessary tools but of course we can not afford everything also, but for the most part at least we try our very best. And nothing beats personal attention...being physically present ever...Oh! how you prefer more cuddles & kisses than new toys and gadgets. At least, we are consoled that the right values are in place.

Just the same, you, my little munchkin are so happy with your new stuffs. Of course the first thing to catch your attention is the cute little thing...your new learning friend we named "Baby Tad". I am so lucky to have such a sweet little boy in you for a son, Benedict. You hug me tight for no reason at all (with matching "hmmmm" sound) occassionally accompanied by kisses on the lips pa. And you do the same too on some of your fave toys...esp. Mickey Mouse. But this morning, after Mommy's good morning hug & kiss, the receipient of your affection is the new toy still in it's box.

In fact, after your lunch I was able to set-up your new Little Leaps system in peace...after a few missed attemps on the codes, 'coz you, my Benedict were occupied with your new friend. Baby Tad was singing a counting song (which I am actually not familiar with) and by mid-noon, you my little boy were already adding "ten" to your few counting vocabulary consisting of only "eight" and "nan" (nine) at this time.

You were so smitten with the new toy that when you napped in the afternoon, you were hugging the stuffed toy to sleep. And you're constantly hugging (or maybe wrestling is the more appropriate word?...haha) Baby Tad again tonight just before your bedtime.

I just removed the toy from your arms when you were in deep slumber 'coz it might sing and wake us all up in the middle of the night should you, my little guy roll over it. I feel satisfied that we can now "guess" what kind of toys you prefer. Oh, it mostly involves cars & everything with wheels, and balls of all sizes...Lately you love books too, the ones with flaps most especially. I hope this Baby Tad would be amongst your fave ones, so that Mickey Mouse can be given a rest too.

Your Dad and I love watching you enjoy your toys little one. It makes us reminisce our happy childhood days too. We may not have as much toys as you have, I guess, but we were as happy individually. So our only hope and prayer at this point is for you to grow up equally blissful in our care too and in Papa God's guidance. God bless us all! We love you, little munchkin!
